Dr Simon is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from Lafayette High School’s gifted and talented program. He attended college at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then pursued his medical education at The Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans where he garnered several academic scholarships and awards. In his third year of medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society as a junior member, an honor awarded to only the top 5% of the class. After graduation, Dr. Simon chose to seek subspecialty training under the otolaryngology department at the University of Texas Medical Branch- a renowned training program founded by Byron J. Bailey, author of the now famous Otolaryngology textbook used around the country. Dr. Simon received extensive training in all aspects of the specialty, including pediatric otolaryngology, sinus surgery and rhinology, allergic disease, otology, head and neck oncology, laryngology and voice disorders, and facial plastic surgery. Upon graduation from residency, Dr. Simon was inducted into The Byron Bailey Surgical Society.
Dr. Simon’s particular clinical interests include medical and surgical treatment of sinus disease, balloon sinuplasty and other in-office sinus therapies, cosmetic and functional surgery of the nose, and sublingual immunotherapy for nasal allergies. Dr Simon and his wife, Christie, live in Houma with their three daughters, Alexandra, Victoria, and Genevieve.
